DAKAR, March 1-5, 2018 – Peacock Capital Advisors Group partnered with MiDA (Institutional Investor Mobilization for Developing Infrastructure in Africa), USAID, APIX, ECA, IDEP, AFIG Funds, and NASP (the National Association of Professional Securities) in leading a business and trade delegation to Senegal from the 1st to the 5th of March 2018. This event brought together over 25 institutional investors and international financial institutions (including New York State Insurance Fund, The California Public Employees’ Retirement System, NASP-USAID Investment Partnership, etc.), their African counterparts, representatives from the Senegalese government, directors of agencies and the US Ambassador to the United States in Senegal.

RESULTS:  The delegation which was worth $137 billion are currently under discussion on investing $30 million in infrastructure and ongoing projects in Senegal.

NEW YORK, September 18, 2017 – Peacock Capital Advisors Group in partnership with Norton Rose Fulbright and the Microfinance Club of New York organized an Invest in Burkina Roundtable. The event brought together participants in government, business, academia, civil society and business sectors. Participant organizations include BNP Paribas, MasterCard, World Economic Forum, Credit Suisse and Rockefeller foundation, among others. It was a very well attended event which led to.

RESULTS: A combined $1 billion, resulted after this event:

      1. Energy and agriculture sector.
      2. Education: which involved building a mobile cloud-based platform that connects parents to the summative activities of their kids in the school in order to bridge the communication gap between schools and parents in Africa.

CHICAGO, September, 2010 – Peacock Capital Advisors Group organized the Forum of Chicago in parallel with the invitation of President Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal by the Governor of Illinois, Patrick Quinn. It served as a platform for the Senegalese private sector and the American business community to meet and discuss opportunities across a large range of industries. Participating organizations included CME, Avlon, Maclean Power and McCormick Chamber of Commerce, among others.

RESULTS: Several letters of interest, followed by investments in energy and agriculture were signed.

DESTINATION AFRICA: THE NEW CAPITAL AND INVESTMENT FRONTIER” CONFERENCE. Dakar, Senegal – February 2009 – Peacock Capital Advisors Group partnered with US investors and the government of Senegal to organize an unprecedented global investment management conference in West Africa. This event provided a platform for future business partnerships, exchange of business know-how and the discussion of investment opportunities between institutional investors from the United States, Europe and their African counterparts. Developing business relationships while simultaneously laying the foundation for future intercontinental partnerships and mutually beneficial business initiatives on the continent. The Principals of Peacock Capital Advisors Group were instrumental in seeing through the transaction success of “Destination Africa: The New Capital & Investment Frontier.”

 

RESULTS: The achievement of Senegal’s first issuance of International Bond in 2010 and the signing of a PPP to build 3000 housing units in Dakar.
